On stage, more than 130 musicians from the Pleven Philharmonic, the National Philharmonic Choir “Svetoslav Obretenov,” and soloists will perform together.
The concert will be conducted by Maestro Yordan Kamdzhalov, with the National Philharmonic Choir “Svetoslav Obretenov” conducted by Tsvetan Krumov.
Interpreting large-scale works by composers such as Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Orff, Stravinsky, Wagner, Mahler, Hindemith, or Bruckner is a common practice in the professional life of Maestro Yordan Kamdzhalov. Grand forms – opera, mass, symphony, cantata, requiem, and others – are preferred by him, and the audience is always captivated by his remarkable stage presence, interpretation, depth, and power of suggestion.
In the spirit of the classical tradition, the mass is in six parts: Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, Benedictus, and Agnus Dei, filled with dreaminess and beauty, imbued with humility and spiritual strength. Composed in 1867, this mass by Bruckner gained its greatest popularity after his symphonies.
Tickets are available at the box office of Bulgaria Hall and through the Eventim network.
