“World Cinema in Music” in Kyustendil – a project by Hilda Kazasyan and the Pleven Philharmonic.
On 4th November 2024, Monday at 7:00 PM at Yuoth Centre, Shumen.
Following the enormous success of the program “Let’s Listen to Cinema,” which included some of the most popular themes from Bulgarian films, filled large venues in 38 cities across Bulgaria, and won the “Crystal Lyre” award for outstanding achievements in the field of Bulgarian musical art, the team decided to continue their musical journey with music from world cinema.
A concert spectacle revealing scenes from iconic films such as “Once Upon a Time in America,” “The Godfather,” “Kill Bill,” “Cabaret,” “Flashdance,” “Pretty Woman,” Charlie Chaplin’s films (“Modern Times”), and many others.
The project includes a series of concerts across the country featuring selected pieces from beloved and iconic films, with entirely new arrangements interpreted by the magical voices of the soloists.
On stage, alongside the Pleven Philharmonic conducted by Borislav Yotsov and soloists Hilda Kazasyan, Theodosii Spassov, and Vassil Petrov, will be some of the finest jazz musicians:
Zhivko Petrov – piano
Hristo Yotsov – drums
Dimitar Karamfilov – double bass
Mihail Yossifov – trumpet.
To enhance the impact of the concerts, there will be multimedia specially prepared by Vasil Karkelanov, and the new arrangements have been made by Hristo Yotsov specifically for the occasion.
Tickets can be purchased on-site and through the Eventim.bg network.
Children under 6 years enter for free but are not entitled to a seat.
