Pleven Philharmonic invites you to a chamber concert featuring the exceptional soprano Chryso Makariou (Cyprus/Austria) and the wind quintet 5ntaWind’s. The programme includes some of the most iconic opera overtures and arias by Mozart, Rossini, Puccini, Mascagni and Bizet.

🌟 About the soloist:

Chryso Makariou is a contemporary opera singer with an international career, known for her crystal-clear tone, deep emotional sensitivity and captivating stage presence. She studied at the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She is a laureate of multiple international competitions, including First Prize at the International Amadeus Music Awards.

Her concert venues include the Smetana Hall (Prague), Gasteig (Munich), Musikverein and Konzerthaus (Vienna), as well as stages in Shanghai. She has performed with leading orchestras and sung alongside the Vienna Boys’ Choir in their 500th anniversary celebrations. She tours actively across Europe and Asia.
